IP (up)date: The CJEU’s BSH/Electrolux decision (C-339/22) and its implications for cross-border IP litigation

Join us for our next IP Update on 17 June 2025 on the CJEU’s BSH/Electrolux decision (C-339/22) and its far-reaching implications for cross-border IP litigation.
Our IP partners Christophe Ronse, Philippe de Jong and Kirian Claeyé will unpack how the ruling can be expected to reshape strategies around the pan-European enforcement of patents and other intellectual property rights, reinforcing the national courts’ role in cross-border strategies alongside the UPC. We will thereby also examine how Belgian courts may contribute to this evolving landscape, particularly in view of recent Belgian case law which had anticipated the CJEU’s reasoning.
