ALTIUS is an independent Belgian law firm based in Brussels (Tour & Taxis). ALTIUS currently has 65 lawyers and 25 staff members. To strengthen our Business Development & Marketing team, we are currently looking for a Business Development Officer.

Job description

As Business Development Officer, your main responsibility will be to promote ALTIUS amongst existing clients and prospects, increase our visibility on the market and create opportunities with the objective to grow our client portfolio.

The job includes amongst others the following tasks:

  • You support the partners by drafting pitches and client presentations. You follow-up on the feedback, results and launch initiatives in order to increase the results;
  • Based on your analysis of the market, sectors, clients, prospects and trends, you prepare business development initiatives with prospects and clients;
  • In collaboration with the partners, you prepare and implement business development plans with the objective to generate revenue and market growth;
  • You ensure that the deadlines for the submissions of the legal directory rankings are respected by drafting and finalising the submissions. You update and communicate on the rankings and awards afterwards;
  • You centralise the firm’s credentials, clients’ references and the memberships in international networks;
  • You support cross-selling opportunities, by analysing clients’ needs and sharing expertise internally.

Your profile

  • You hold a Master degree within marketing, business management, economy or any other related studies;
  • You have a first experience in a business development role, ideally within a professional services environment;
  • You are fluent in Dutch, French and English;
  • You have good knowledge of MS Office and have an interest in new technologies;
  • You are able to combine business acumen and analytical skills;
  • You possess excellent communication skills, both spoken and written, and prefer a pragmatic and hands-on approach;
  • You have a positive mindset and  a can-do attitude;
  • You are eager to learn, proactive and show initiative;
  • You are an open and enthusiastic team player and highly motivated;
  • You are not afraid to speak your mind and have shown your entrepreneurial spirit in the past.
