Lieven est un expert reconnu en droit immobilier et en droit de la construction, avec une expertise particulière en droit des contrats.

Il conseille ses clients sur tous les aspects juridiques des transactions immobilières complexes, notamment la structuration de projets immobiliers, les fusions-acquisitions immobilières, les opérations de sale-and-leaseback, les coentreprises, le crédit-bail, les structures REIT (FIIS) et les projets de (re)développement.

Son expérience couvre des transactions majeures sur le marché belge, impliquant notamment de vastes hubs logistiques, des hôtels, des immeubles de bureaux, des propriétés commerciales, le palais de justice, de grands projets de (re)développement urbain ainsi que des actifs immobiliers spécialisés tels que des ambassades, dark kitchens et développements mixtes.

Lieven est membre et examinateur de la Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS). Il siège au comité juridique du Belgium-Luxembourg Council for Retail and Shopping Centres (BLSC). Il est également membre de l’Union Professionnelle du Secteur Immobilier (BVS–UPSI), de l’Urban Land Institute (ULI), de l’Association Belge de Droit de la Construction (BVBR–ABDC), et il sera le prochain Chair (2026–2028) du Leisure Industries Committee de l’International Bar Association (IBA), ainsi qu’officier du IBA Real Estate Committee.

Il intervient régulièrement comme orateur lors de conférences sectorielles et de séminaires juridiques.

Lieven Peeters a reçu le ILO Client Choice Award pour l’immobilier en Belgique en 2011, 2012, 2015, 2021 et 2025, ainsi que pour les loisirs en Belgique en 2020. Il a également remporté le Lexology 2025 European Awards de l’avocat de l’année en immobilier.

Son expertise est constamment reconnue dans les principaux classements juridiques, notamment Chambers Europe, The Legal 500, PLC Which Lawyer, Who’s Who Legal, Best Lawyers et World’s Leading Experts in Real Estate.
