Lieven is een gerenommeerd expert inzake vastgoed en constructie. Hij heeft een uitgebreide kennis over contractenrecht.

Hij adviseert cliënten over alle juridische aspecten van complexe vastgoedtransacties, met inbegrip van het structureren van vastgoedprojecten, vastgoedfusies en -overnames, sale-and-leaseback transacties, joint ventures, leasing, REIT- (FIIS) structuren en (her)ontwikkelingsprojecten.

Lieven heeft uitgebreide ervaring met grote transacties op de Belgische markt, waaronder grootschalige logistieke hubs, hotels, kantoorgebouwen, commerciële panden, gerechtsgebouwen, omvangrijke binnenstedelijke (her)ontwikkelingen en gespecialiseerd vastgoed zoals ambassades, dark kitchens en mixed-use ontwikkelingen.

Lieven is lid en Assessor van de Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS). Hij zetelt in het Legal Committee van de Belgium-Luxembourg Council for Retail and Shopping Centres (BLSC). Hij is eveneens lid van de Beroepsvereniging van de Vastgoedsector (BVS–UPSI), het Urban Land Institute (ULI), de Belgische Vereniging voor Bouwrecht (BVBR–ABDC), en is de incoming Chair (2026–2028) van de International Bar Association (IBA) Leisure Industries Committee en officer van het IBA Real Estate Committee.

Lieven treedt regelmatig op als spreker op sectorconferenties en juridische seminars.

Lieven Peeters ontving de ILO Client Choice Award voor Vastgoed in België in 2011, 2012, 2015, 2021 en 2025, en voor Vrijetijdsbesteding in België in 2020. Hij won bovendien de Lexology 2025 European Award voor ‘Advocaat van het Jaar’ in Vastgoed.

Zijn expertise wordt consequent erkend in diverse toonaangevende juridische ranglijsten, waaronder Chambers Europe, The Legal 500, PLC Which Lawyer, Who’s Who Legal, Best Lawyers en World’s Leading Experts in Real Estate.
