Philippe de Jong is gespecialiseerd in intellectueel eigendomsrecht, met een bijzondere focus op octrooien, kwekersrechten en parallel importkwesties.

Hij heeft ook uitgebreide ervaring in regelgevingsaangelegenheden met betrekking tot de biowetenschappen en de agrovoedingsindustrie. Andere praktijkgebieden zijn onder meer medisch recht, mediarecht en eerlijke handelspraktijken in diverse sectoren.

Philippe geeft regelmatig lezingen op conferenties en seminaries. Hij heeft ook artikelen gepubliceerd in verschillende toonaangevende juridische tijdschriften met betrekking tot zijn expertisegebied. Hij heeft als consultant gewerkt voor het EU-Bureau voor plantenrassen en is ook actief lid van verschillende advocaten- en sectororganisaties, waaronder: de European Patent Lawyers Association (EPLAW), Euroseeds, de Licensing Executives Society (LES), en de International Association of Breeders of Asexually Reproducing Fruit and Ornamental Varieties (CIOPORA).
