Bart heeft een uitgebreide ervaring in het brede spectrum van handelsgeschillen, zowel wat contractuele kwesties als schuldaansprakelijkheid betreft. Verder focust Bart zich op kwesties inzake insolventie- en herstructureringsprocedures.

Hij spreekt regelmatig op verschillende conferenties en seminaries betreffende Insolventie en herstructurering. Hij is lid van INSOL Europe en medevoorzitter van het INSOL Europe’s Anti-Fraud Forum.

Bart heeft een Lic. Juris behaald aan de Katholieke Universiteit Leuven en studeerde ook aan de Universidad de Granada. Hij behaalde een bijkomend diploma Economie aan de Katholieke Universiteit Leuven.
