Sophie is gespecialiseerd in intellectueel eigendomsrecht, met een specifieke focus op merken- en octrooigeschillen, anti-namaak en parallelhandel. Haar juridische praktijk omvat ook oneerlijke handelspraktijken, publiciteit en het opstellen van adviezen en contracten met betrekking tot intellectuele eigendomsrechten.

Sophie heeft een Master in de rechten behaald aan de Université Catholique de Louvain-la-Neuve alsook een Master in Intellectueel Eigendomsrecht aan de Katholieke Universiteit Brussel. Alvorens af te studeren, nam ze ook deel aan het Erasmus uitwisselingsprogramma en ging ze naar de Universidad de Valencia in Spanje.

Sophie is lid van de ‘Association Internationale pour la Protection de la Propriété Intellectuelle’, ‘Association Internationale des Jeunes Avocats’, de Franse vereniging ‘Association des Praticiens du droit des Marques et des Modèles’, en de Belgische vereniging, ‘Association Belge pour le droit d’Auteur’. Sophie is auteur en co-auteur van tal van publicaties en is een regelmatige spreker, moderator en/of co-organisator op conferenties en seminaries, voornamelijk inzake intellectuele eigendomsrechten.
