Paul co-heads ALTIUS’ Intellectual Property practice.

His intellectual property expertise in particular focuses on trademark, patent and copyright litigation, anti-counterfeiting, and parallel trade matters.

Paul’s scope of legal expertise also relates to advertising, media and entertainment law, and distribution law, and in particular on negotiations and litigation relating to the termination of agency and distributorship agreements.

Paul is a member of INTA (and its Committee ‘online publications’); MARQUES (and its ‘Famous and Well Known Marks committee’) and AIPPI.

He is also a member of the board of the Belgian Copyright Association (the Belgian section of the ALAI); the Belgian section of the International League of Competition Law (LIDC) and the Benelux Trademark and Industrial Design Attorneys Association (BBM).

Paul is a member of the Editorial Board of IRDI, the Belgian Intellectual Property law review.

Paul lectures on European trademark law at the University of Liège, as part of its LL.M programme “Competition Law and IP”.
