Gauthier advises a wide range of Belgian and international clients on all aspects of sports law, including employment-related disputes, disciplinary proceedings and regulatory matters.
Gauthier has worked for almost four years as Legal Counsel for the Players’ Status Department of FIFA, where he developed special expertise in football employment-related matters and international transfer contracts.
Gauthier is also experienced in litigation and often represents clients in contractual and disciplinary procedures before sports judicial bodies, including FIFA, UEFA and CAF.
Furthermore, Gauthier recently assisted a client in a record-breaking transfer to Arsenal FC.
Gauthier is often requested to lecture on topics related to (inter)national sports law. He has recently lectured at the Université de Lille.
