Philippe de Jong on plant variety rights in the distribution chain

IP Lawyer and plant variety rights specialist Philippe de Jong contributed to the latest edition of FloraCulture International, the business magazine for floriculture worldwide. The issue deals with Intellectual Property protection for plant innovations and was co-publshed by CIOPORA, a global assocation of breeders.

In the article, Philippe de Jong states that all supermarkets, gardening centres, the local florist around the corner and pretty much all supply chain parties, including auctions, wholesalers and transporters, have the duty to respect plant breeder's IP rights, regardless of the size of their company.
